Ever wanted to wander through Northern Utah's most jaw-dropping new homes? Starting Friday, July 10, you can.

The 2026 Northern Wasatch Parade of Homes runs July 10–25, showcasing a lineup of spectacular new residences packed with the latest design and building trends. Presented by the Northern Wasatch Home Builders Association, it's part open house, part inspiration board, and part peek at what's next in Utah home design.

Each stop lets you explore floor plans, finishes, and fresh ideas up close—with builder exhibits set up in every garage. Whether you're building, remodeling, or just love a good home tour, there's plenty to dream about.

One tip before you go: shoes come off inside the homes, so bring a pair of socks for the tour.

Grab a chair and your sense of wonder: Willard Bay State Park is hosting a free Star Party this Friday, July 10, from sunset until 11:00 PM.

Park Rangers are teaming up with the Willard Eccles Astronomy Observatory to guide you through the night sky, and telescopes will be provided—so you don't need any gear of your own, just curiosity. It all happens at the South Marina Campground.

Come prepared to be comfortable: pack insect repellent and a camp chair if you'd like a place to settle in under the stars.

This weekend, racers at Snowbasin won't just be chasing a finish line—they'll be tested on whether they've got one more mile in them.

The Utah Spartan Trifecta returns to Snowbasin Ski Resort on July 11–12, and lead sponsor the U.S. Navy is featuring the "Extra Mile presented by the U.S. Navy"—an optional extension of the racecourse built to push athletes past the point where most would stop. After conquering the core race, competitors can choose to go further, physically and mentally—a nod to the Navy's ethos of pushing beyond limits.

There's plenty for spectators, too: the Navy will run a pull-up bar challenge and a reaction drill test for attendees. And keep an eye on the course—members of the Navy's Special Operations teams are set to compete in Spartan events throughout the weekend.

Rear Admiral James P. Waters, Commander of U.S. Navy Recruiting Command, said the "Extra Mile" reflects the mindset the Navy looks for: the willingness to keep moving when things get hard and to choose challenge over comfort—a force, he noted, that's "Forged by the Sea."
