The party of the summer is finally here!

Rodeo week at Spencer Fox Eccles Pioneer Stadium kicks off this Saturday, July 18 with Bulls, Broncs & Bands — an electrifying night of broncs and bull riding capped by a full concert from country artist Chancey Williams, a former saddle bronc rider turned arena headliner.

From there, the 92nd Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo — a ProRodeo Hall of Fame inductee and one of the top large outdoor rodeos in the PRCA — takes over with five nights of rip-roaring rodeo action, July 20–24. Expect bareback riding, saddle bronc, barrel racing, bull riding, and more, plus a drone show every night of the rodeo. Reigning Miss Rodeo America Olivia Favero, a Taylor, Utah native, will also be on hand for the festivities.

Heads up, Pleasant View drivers — a stretch of 500 West is about to get busy.

Starting Wednesday, July 15, Pleasant View City begins a water system improvement project on 500 W from 3900 N to 3950 N, with a projected end date of October 13. Crews will be retiring an old culinary water tank, replacing aging water lines, adding valves, and installing a new pressure-regulating valve — upgrades that will improve reliability, make future repairs easier to isolate, and support better pressure monitoring.

What to expect:

🚗 500 West stays open during construction via lane shifts and traffic control, though temporary detours may be used if conditions become unsafe

💧 Temporary water service interruptions, with at least 48 hours' notice before planned shutoffs (unexpected conditions may require emergency shutoffs)

🅿️ Parking for Canal Road access must be outside the designated work area

🐾 Please keep children and pets away from the construction zone, slow down, and watch for crews, equipment, and open trenches
