Ogden Musical Theatre opens its production of Hairspray tonight at the historic Peery's Egyptian Theatre. The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical is packed with unforgettable songs, energetic choreography, and a story about inclusion that's just as meaningful today as when it first premiered.
And after today's 98° heat, the theater's air conditioning might be a pretty good bonus.

If you commute through downtown Ogden, now is a good time to plan an alternate route.
Beginning Monday, July 27, both northbound and southbound lanes of Lincoln Avenue will close between 25th and 26th Streets as construction begins on the Wonderblock project.
The good news: traffic on 25th Street and 26th Street will remain open, allowing drivers to continue crossing east and west through downtown.
